Do you think you are truly free?
Have you read the sign in zoos that reads, “bred in captivity”
I feel that’s how we are, surrounded by glass walls,
Things we can’t see always keeping us locked up,
We feel we are free, we feel we can do whatever we want,
But we can only do whatever we are “supposed” to do,
We can only do things we are allowed to do, because -
If we break the rules, & the glass, we will be outlaws,
Or other derogatory name that the glass builders have,
I just think we can never be truly free, unless -
Unless we are ready to break our ties with society.
